Jinlida Reinforced Mesh Coiler Completes R&D and Passes Customer Acceptance: Higher Load and Easier Unloading

Jinlida Reinforced Mesh Coiler Completes R&D and Passes Customer Acceptance: Higher Load and Easier Unloading

2026-10-27

Jinlida Completes Development of the Reinforced Mesh Coiler

Jinlida has completed the research, development and production of its new reinforced mesh coiler, and the unit has passed both factory testing and formal customer acceptance. The machine is the winding and coiling unit that sits at the end of a gabion mesh production line, taking finished hexagonal mesh off the loom and rolling it into transport-ready coils.

The upgrade was driven by direct feedback from gabion manufacturers. Two complaints came up repeatedly: standard coilers struggle once wire diameter and mesh width increase, and removing a heavy finished coil at the end of a shift is slow and physically demanding for operators. The reinforced model was engineered to solve both.

What Has Changed

The new unit keeps the same footprint and control interface as the previous generation, so it can be retrofitted to existing lines without rebuilding the production layout. The structural and handling components, however, have been substantially strengthened.

ItemStandard modelReinforced model
Frame structureStandard welded frameReinforced double-beam welded frame with gusseted corners
Coil load capacityApprox. 300 kgUp to 600 kg per coil
Main shaftStandard shaft and bearingsUprated shaft with heavy-duty bearings
Coil removalManual lift-offQuick-release tilting discharge
Unloading time3–5 minutesUnder 1 minute
Mesh widthUp to 2.0 m2.0–4.0 m

Key Improvements

  • Higher load capacity. The reinforced frame and uprated shaft assembly allow the coiler to handle coils up to roughly twice the weight of the previous model, which matters as more buyers run heavier galvanized and PVC coated wire in larger mesh openings.
  • Wide-width handling. The machine accepts mesh widths from 2.0 m to 4.0 m, a range the standard coiler simply cannot carry without deflection or shaft vibration.
  • Easier unloading. A quick-release tilting mechanism lets the operator release and roll away a finished coil in seconds instead of manhandling it off the shaft — less downtime, far lower risk of back strain or crushed fingers.
  • Stable winding at full speed. Tension control has been retuned so that winding stays even when the line runs continuously through a full 12-hour shift, avoiding loose or telescoped coils.
  • Retrofit friendly. The unit matches the electrical and mechanical interface of the current Jinlida gabion mesh line, so existing customers can upgrade the coiler alone.
  • Serviceability. Removable side panels and standardised bearings cut routine maintenance time and simplify spare parts stocking.

Factory Testing and Customer Acceptance

The prototype completed a full production validation programme before release. The machine was run continuously with galvanized and PVC coated wire from 2.0 m up to 4.0 m mesh width, with coil weight stepped up in stages to confirm structural behaviour, shaft stiffness and winding quality at the upper load limit. Coil removal was timed at every stage to verify the easier unloading claim under real working conditions.

The reinforced coiler then went through formal customer acceptance, where the visiting team inspected the frame welds, checked coil concentricity and operated the discharge mechanism themselves. Acceptance was granted, and the model is now released for order.

Availability

The reinforced mesh coiler is available both as a standalone upgrade for existing gabion mesh lines and as part of a complete Jinlida gabion box production line. Delivery lead time and configuration details for specific wire diameters and mesh widths can be confirmed on request. Jinlida continues to support customers with pre-shipment testing, on-site installation and operator training.

About Jinlida

Jinlida designs and manufactures CNC gabion mesh machines, gabion box production lines, mesh coilers and complete tooling for contractors and manufacturers across the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and South America.
